Noether's work was recognized by some of the most important mathematicians and physicsts of her time, but her gender barred her from ordinary institutional standing for much of her career. She lectures under another man's name, worked without proper pay or title, and was later displaced from Germany under Nazi racial laws.
Mark
Her theorem became foundational to modern physics. Her name is remembered, but often as a theorem before a life. The world preserved the signal will still struggling to behold the structure of the mind that carried it.
